Post-Planetary Imaginaries (Anthropology) (Fall 2015)

Led by Debbora Battaglia, this course is a series of seminars on themes of experimental inter-being relations off the Earth. Topics include world-making in orbit, performing cosmos as installation ethnography, technologies of accelerationism and their cinematic discontents, enacting resistance to state-sponsored space imaginaries, engendering a cosmic diplomacy of space rocks, and the social life of moon dust. Seminars may include collaborative multi-media projects.
